Few people possess the talent, skills, and achievements of Eric Pulier. The Los Angeles-based entrepreneur developed an interest in programming while still in elementary school and was already writing computer programs before fourth grade. He had established his first database company by the time he was in high school. For this extraordinarily brilliant young man, computer programming seemed to be his destiny. Interestingly, Pulier graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in English and American Literature from Harvard University 1988. While at Harvard, Pulier served as editor and columnist for the magazine Harvard Crimson. At the same time, he took courses at MIT.
Three years after his graduation,Eric Pulier founded a technology firm, People Doing Things. The company applied a technological approach to meet people’s educational, health and other needs. Later, in 1994, the programming expert established a new firm: Digital Evolution. His passion for helping the plight of suffering people inspired him to create Starbright Works, a forum where children with chronic ailments could interact and share their experiences with each other and the world in general through chats and blog posts. Pulier’s philanthropic efforts demonstrated that technology could be used as a tool to reach out to the suffering and help make their situation better.
As a result of his dedication to improving the lives of people around the world, Eric Pulier continues to be called upon to participate in various fora and exhibitions on Technology and health. In 1997, for instance, he helped conduct the Presidential Technology Exhibition in Washington DC. .
